For the past several weeks Logan has been taking one step without touching anything -- but then always fell to the ground before step two. Well this evening (Sunday, March 15, 2009--3 days before his 11-month birthday, so technically it still counts as his tenth month!) he took three steps in a row and has been doing it consistantly since! I think once he gets comfortable doing more than that he's going to be running -- I swear he could win a crawling contest, and the way he runs around touching our furniture -- he's so fast. . .I'm not sure where he gets it, Joe and I can't say the same for ourselves, haha. So it's a good thing I've gotten some rest lately because my days won't be slowing down anytime soon, in fact I think they're only going to get more exhausting now. :/
My parents offered to watch Logan again this past weekend since last weekend went so well, so we met them halfway on Friday and again today to pick him up. Once again, Logan didn't care at all. He was easy and fun for them, and now after two weekends off in a row I feel like my tank has been filled so now I can drive the car! This time I'm going to stop when my gas starts getting low so I can refuel before it gets to E rather than still driving the car with no gas!
Joe & I went out to eat at Red Lobster on Friday night and rented a hilarious movie. On Saturday we got a lot done around the house and went out to eat to Buffalo Wild Wings. Today I went to the movie theater with the girls to see Confessions of A Shopaholic which gave JOE some time to his self in our house since that doesn't happen much, either, anymore.
I forgot to mention after last weekend that the dogs seemed to like the break, too. Although, when we first came home from dropping Logan off, they went back to the door after Joe & I were settled, like they knew someone was missing. Then later I said to Bella, "Where's Logan?" Very confidently, she walked right over to the garage door like, "You never brought him inside, he's still out in the car." Haha!
Tomorrow I'm calling Babysitter and asking her if Tues & Thurs (March 24 & 26) we can start the two halfdays. I forgot to mention in my last post that something else that I like about her is that since she has been doing it for so long, chances are there haven't been any complaints filed against her because we couldn't find any -- and if anything bad had ever been reported then she probably still wouldn't be in business anyway.
Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be in the 70's!!! I have my second appt. this month with my counselor. So hopefully those 3 LexaPro pills I took were just a one time thing (as I said in my Things Looking Up post, I had very scary side effects), although I am going to start using over-the-counter progesterone this month (you only use it mid-cycle). I believe that my dark two months are over with!
Something else fun is that I started making arrangements for Logan's first birthday party! I'm so excited that my junior high best friend Sarah from Seattle is coming, she has been planning all year with her job to come for his first birthday (since the last time she saw him is when she helped me the week Joe went to Washington DC last May when Logan was a month old) so I'm glad it's going to work out! I also got a great idea: since she's coming on Sat. April 18th, my parents can take Logan back to Iowa with them when they go back on Sunday the 19th, so that Sarah & I can have time just the two of us. Then, that Wednesday she wants to go visit her parents in Iowa so I can take her and stay at my parents' house to see Iowa friends like I've been wanting to do for the past year! That Sat. she'll meet me back over at my parents' house and we'll take Logan back to Omaha and she'll fly home to Seattle on Sunday, April 26th (Joe & my 6th annivesary)! Joe's mom will be back from Belize by that time, too, so she might want a day with Logan as well! Hopefully I won't miss him too much, I'm so glad to have my little guy here again now! :)

Aww.. Logan is such a cutie! :-D
I remember Lucas took his first few steps while I was getting my nails done in a salon... :-D he was a few days shy of his 10th month birthday, so technically, he was still 9 months when he started walking.. :P After a week, he was walking like a pro.. :D but still no teeth for my little guy, am starting to worry, although I can see a tiny bit of sign that he might be teething, I'm still not sure though.. LOL :D
you're leaving entrecard? oh well, I'll still keep visiting you, with or without an entrecard widget.. :D
I hope you have a great trip to visit friends and family. Enjoy your time off. You need it to recharge and relax.
He is so cute! They grow way too quickly. I remember when my children first started walking. Watch out!
