Anyone shopping for last minute Christmas gifts??? My inspirational novel was ranked #3 11/6/14 on Amazon, titled The 20th Christmas! Order the paperback or e-version there--or from Barnes & Noble. The story is about a little boy who goes missing a few days before Christmas. You can learn more details on my Website.

This is my first Freezer Food Friday meme! This AMAZING recipe is from my mother-in-law - it is SUPER easy, fast, and came out great. For anyone who likes ice cream and chocolate, you will LOVE this, too!!!!! (And become addicted!)
Ingredients:
1 lb Oreos (crushed)
1 stick butter (melted)
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
Heath bits (plain or chocolate covered)
Mrs. Richardson's hot fudge (16 oz jar) - or make your own (directions below)
Mix butter and Oreos into a 9 x 13 pan. Spread ice cream on top of Oreos (let the ice cream sit outside of the freezer for a few minutes so it is soft/easier to spread). Sprinkle with Heath bits. Place in freezer if you are making hot fudge in a sauce pan:
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
1 stick butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Boil 8 minutes. Let cool. Take the 9 x 13 pan out of the freezer and pour the hot fudge topping on top.
If you do not want to make your own hot fudge, slightly warm the jar of Mrs. Richardson's in the microwave and spread it on. If you have remaining Heath bits, you can sprinkle the rest on top for appearance.
Refreeze for a couple of hours and it is ready to eat! (As you can see I couldn't find Heath bits at my store so I chopped up Heath candybars which worked - but it made it richer.)

OH MY GOODNESS. I would be in Oreo heaven if this ever fell into my lap. I looks so complicated to make, but I'll see about trying this on a lazy weekend & testing it on the boys. LOL. ;)
Oh how I wish I could just stick my finger in the monitor and take a little dip!!!
Omg! This looks sinful!
I'm not sure if I am brave enough to try it! LOL :o)
Thanks for sharing!
drooling.. i would love that for dessert
This is delicious! If you buy the hot fudge topping, this dessert is easy to put together! Thanks!
I agree -- it is sooooo easy, quick, and HEAVEN TO EAT! It has been over a year since I posted this and I am still not tired of it.
I've made this many times and it's really pretty simple! I would definitely buy pre-made hot fudge.
