I'm so thrilled. We decided to take Logan to Babysitter's this morning to see if three 4-hr days this week would help him adjust quicker. Also, as I said I was going to do in yesterday's post, I stayed over a half an hour this time with him. He never cried once today!!!! Yeay!!! Babysitter said he has definitely fully adjusted after only four days there!!!!!!! (The other four days with his babysitter he did really well but still cried off & on.) I was soooo relieved! He played on his own, as well as with the other kids, and was happy the whole time! We're going to do three 4-hr days next week, too, so that it's easier to pay for these two weeks (she charges by an 8-hr day). But now that he's adjusted we'll go back to just Tues & Thurs mornings for my break again after next week (so 8 hrs per week, except Apr 21st & 23rd when he's in Iowa, of course then he'll skip that week)!
It was spring break this week so the regular brothers (Matthew & Joshua) weren't there (and the other boy I've mentioned, Henry, doesn't come on Mondays) but instead there was one of the little girls who is going to be there this summer (Madeline). She is 6 and was so sweet, I talked to her in the morning and then when I came back while they were eating lunch she informed me that she played with him. :) The other three boys there today were ages 2 to 4 (Ryan, Jackson, and Ryder) and were running around, but she seemed "above" rambunctiousness, lol, so she was giving Logan hugs instead. :)
I went shopping and bought his first birthday gifts, but that was pretty much all I got accomplished, I can't believe how fast the time went. I also tried to buy myself some clothes, but it was too depressing since I've gained 12 lbs since I stopped breastfeeding the end of January (or 7 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight). I'm not eating that much or making bad food choices; I really think my metabolism turned down to zero when I stopped breastfeeding -- I could actually feel it slow down inside me! I'm only 3 lbs away from the most I ever weighed non-pregnant which was second semester of my freshman year of college. Needless to say, I know what I'm going to do this Tues & Thurs when Logan's at the babysitter's: exercise!

It's normal to gain weight when you stop breastfeeding. Once your hormones adjust again, you should lose the weight.
Happy belated mother's day!! :)
That's great that you've found someone to watch your little guy. It's always nice to get a break once in a while. I had a hard time with my little one too. She would always cry when we left her with someone new. Then after an hours she was fine. Thanks for stopping by today.
